Hello June (and Monday)! This past week, I picked up my favorite nail polish of the moment from Sephora and I cannot stop raving about how much I love this. So on this wonderful Monday, I present to you the limited edition NARS x Pierre Hardy nail polish duo in ‘Easy Walking’. There are 6 different duos and while I want them all, I am being frugal and have only purchased 2 (second set coming up on our next Mani Monday). I decided to start with ‘Easy Walking’ because it is NOT available on the Sephora online site so if you’re interested, you may have to sprint to your local Sephora store to find it or order it off the NARS site. I struggled with this week’s song, but I finally decided to go with ‘Walking on Sunshine’ to celebrate my joy over this awesome nail polish and my hope for a lovely June where I can spend my days walking on sunshine.
Happy Monday or if you’re in Canada – Happy Victoria Day! It has been an absolutely gorgeous long weekend in Edmonton filled with nothing but sunshine. I wish I owned the Victoriana polish from Butter London as it would have been very appropriate for this week’s Mani Monday. However, I have a polish named after another queen; this polish was created to commemorate Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee last year and which other royal has had a Diamond Jubilee? It was none other than Queen Victoria – maybe I’m forcing the theme a little bit but at least I tried. Butter London’s Lillibet’s Jubilee was created last year as a limited edition colour but it is still available for purchase. In honour of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee, there was an epic rock concert held last year and my musical song styling of the week is a clip from that concert featuring Elton John singing the very classic ‘Your Song’
What a beautiful Monday! I think spring has finally arrived although it feels a bit more like summer – I am ok with Winter bouncing right into Summer, provided it does not bounce back to Winter any time soon OR it would be ideal if Winter and Summer mashed up into – oh I don’t know – Spring? Anyways, this week’s colour is an oldie but a goodie, but sadly it isn’t available in stores anymore (sorry – I didn’t realize that until I started writing this post). So what colour have I decided on this week? It’s Sephora OPI’s ‘Mash-Up’ which was part of their Glee collection way back when, hence the lack of availability now. In honour of ‘Mash-Up’, I am going with one of my favorite Glee mash-ups of all time – Survivor/I Will Survive – as my musical song styling for this lovely Mani Monday.
