Topbox Review: March 2015

Oh March… Why you gotta be like this? I apparently spoke (much) too soon when I said Edmonton was going to have a “early” Spring. I apologize to everyone if I jinxed our beautiful weather but hey what’s a foot or two of snow on the first day of Spring. Anyways, my March Topbox showed up last week, which makes me happy despite all the snow (well more like dirty slush now).

March’s Topbox included:

Apparently all of this month’s products can be found at London Drugs, hence the London Drugs card and tube. There are two repeats here for me – I have received the Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Caplet Serurm  and the StriVectin-AR Advanced Retinol Night Treatment in Topboxes within the last year (July and November). It is to be expected that I would eventually receive duplicate products, especially with the length of time I have been subscribing to Topbox. I don’t have a major issue with the duplication if it happens periodically but I will get cranky if it starts happening consistently (which I doubt). My sister has already taken the StriVectin as it is one of her favorite products, as a loving sister, I let her have it without a fight. I haven’t heard of Reversa before, at least it is not a brand that is popping up in my mind – I like cleansers a lot, so this is one I am very interested in trying. I will admit I am a hardcore Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner fan – I recommend them to everyone I know and I own more than I can probably use in this lifetime, so it is hard for me to be impartial towards other brands. I am reserving judgement on the NYX slide on pencil for now, but I did a quick test and it went on very smoothly and the colour was incredibly vibrant. I am going to give this a try once my current gold/bronze eye liner is used up and I hope it will hold up just as well as my Urban Decay.

So What Would Argenplath Pay?

March’s box was $12.60 and the value of $41.09 is really good – I think most of these are higher end brands, albeit still available at London Drugs. While this might not rank as my favorite box, but it is still a decent one that I think would appeal to lots of people. The value is solid and that I think is really the best thing about Topbox – I never feel like I didn’t get what I paid for unlike more expensive boxes.

March Topbox: Total Value – $41.09

  • Elizabeth Arden Flawless Future Powered by Ceramide Caplet Serum ($12)
  • StriVectin-AR Advanced Retinol Night Treatment ($16.80)
  • Reversa Cleansing Micellar Solution ($2.30)
  • NYX Professional Makeup Slide On Pencil in Golden Bronze ($9.99)
